    Michael Duane Harp, 71

Michael Duane Harp went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 11, 2020 at home, in the arms of his wife, Sandra.

He was born in Longview, Washington, on April 21, 1949. Growing up, Mike’s family relocated often, following his dad’s work. In sixth grade, they moved to Kalispell, where he became an “Evergreen kid”; he was very proud of being from Evergreen. Mike graduated from Flathead High School in 1967. After high school, he went to Flathead Valley Community College, where he studied geology and business. Mike was passionate about history and reading. Anytime someone visited, he had a book by his side. He enjoyed sharing this knowledge with his family.

In 1969 and 1970, Mike was in the United States Army. Between June of 1973 and June of 1974, he was in the Standby Reserve. After his honorable discharge, Mike went to work for his dad in the office of Harp Line Constructors. He went on to work as a grunt all over the state and, with on-the-
