James Brown was born March 22, in the small town of Desdemona, Eastland County, Texas. He graduated from The Desdemona School (grades ), which was built in (it closed in ). Very athletic, Brown became a tennis pro before there was any money in it. Brown was born in Desdemona, Texas. He attended Baylor University, representing the university at Tennis. Brown began his acting career in with an uncredited role as a medic in the spelfilm Ride, Kelly, Ride. His first credited role was in the film The Forest Rangers.
