Berenika, from Poland, is quite probably my very favourite photographer.
Her works remarkable – think emotive, surreal, quiet images…wistful, ethereal, melancholy pictures… imaginative compositions, beautifully executed.
As you can probably tell, I have great respect for Berenikas art.
And there’s something extraordinarily expressive about the light in her pictures. In fact, I’ve noticed this quality in images made by other Central europeisk photographers too, from countries like Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic. This region produces wonderful photography.

Beata Bieniak was born in in the small Polish town of Poddebice where she still lives and works to this day.
She is a qualified physiotherapist who has developed a passionate interest in photography.
Her love of music, poetry & painting is evident in her gently humanist images - personal visionary observations of our subtly surreal world.
