  • C.C. DeVille (real/full name: Bruce Anthony Johannesson) was born May 14th, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York.

    He is known as the guitarist in Poison - Guitars (lead), Vocals (1985-1991, 1996-present). DeVille left Poison in 1991and was replaced by guitarist Richie Kotzen.

    Following his departure from Poison, DeVille formed Needle Park, a band that also featured vocalist Spike of The Quireboys, bassist Tommy Henriksen, and drummer James Kottak (later of Scorpions), and recorded "Hey, Good Lookin'" for the soundtrack to the Pauly Shore movie Son in Law.

    DeVille regained contact with his Poison bandmates in 1996 for their Greatest Hits reunion tour in 1999. Several shows were recorded and released as a hybrid studio & live album release in 2000 titled Power to the People. DeVille continues to record and perform with Poison.     C.C. DeVille was born as Bruce Anthony Johannesson on May 14, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. DeVille fell in love with music at a ung age, beginning to play gitarr at age 5. After playing with various rock bands in the early 1980s, DeVille landed a spot as lead guitarist of glam-metal band Poison, replacing original band member Matt Smith. Poison went on to receive wide acclaim—including the No. 1 single, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” (1988). DeVille left the band in the early 1990s, when he was battling with drug and alcohol addiction, and reunited with the band in 1999.Early LifeC.C.     It didn’t take long for people to notice C.C. Not only did he have the creative touch with almost everything he did, he had a high energy level and look that got him noticed in any crowd.

    He ended up traveling from his hometown in New York to L.A, and he joined various bands (Screaming Mimi, Lace Slip, St James, Roxx Regime) before audition for Poison.
