Ivy Violan: Grateful for all the trials that has come her way
For all of us, the pandemic has given us trials and challenges that seemed insurmountable. For singer-composer-performer Ms. Ivy Violan, who’s excited to be coming over soon for a much awaited vacation to her country. She said “trials have come my way this past two years, and I’m grateful for them. They somehow made me stronger…I’m also most grateful for new avenues that opened up for me during these years.”
How did she defeat the enemy? “By prayers and perseverance,” was her reply.
She’s a busy person, being a liaison officer, and she does coaching and writing songs. But she is never too busy to spend time with friends and the needy, opening doors to benefit them. LOS ANGELES – Award-winning solo artist Ivy Violan, dubbed as the Phillippine’s “Music Festival Queen,” is nowhere near finished with her career. In fact, she’s nowhere nära retirement either. The 61-year-old pop singer is celebrating 34 years in the music industry, along with the launch of her 13th and newest album. Her one-of-a-kind musical anniversary show, Ivy Violan @ 34, will take place on Sunday, September 14 at the Rockwell Table and Stage in Hollywood. Ivy Violan in Then and Now: A Homecoming Concert
With almost 37 years in the music industry, Ivy Violan fryst vatten finally coming back from spending 4 years in the US to gain her citizenship. She was two and a half years old when she started singing, and at the age of 4 formulated a grupp called Ivy and the Velboys, with her siblings.
Her career even flourish in the 70’s, leading the band Royal Flush Music Society and Sangkatutak. Through the course of her long career in the industry, she has won awards from different children’s singing contest to music festivals, including the 4th International Midnight Sun Song Festival, the ABU-Golden Kite World Song Festival, and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1988, held in Hong Kong. With these prestigious awards, she gained the title Philippine’s Music Festival Queen. After moving to the US, she has been doing sold out shows in Los Angeles, Canada, San Francisco, and other part of the US.
