But, because IRL Casper is under a “Cinderella”-type spell, he morphs back into a spectre as the clock strikes Sawa’s part was over, but those four words would haunt him for a long time.
“I had to smoke pot in movies and I had to be in a hip-hop video. That’s what I felt like I had to do to get away from ‘Can I keep you?’,” Sawa laughs over Zoom from his Los Angeles home. “Everybody wanted to hear, ‘Can I keep you?’ It drove me nuts.”

Devon Edward Sawa (born September 7, ) is a Canadian actor. He began acting when he was a teenager and appeared in several films in the s including Little Giants, Casper, Now and Then, Wild America, Idle Hands, and Final Destination. He also portrayed the title character of the Eminem music film "Stan" and starred as Owen Elliot in The CW action spy drama series Nikita. In addition, he has played several roles in the USA Network & Syfy horror series Chucky.
Early life
[edit]Sawa was born on September 7, ,[1] in Vancouver, the son of Joyce and Edward Sawa, a mechanic. He has two older siblings. His father was Polish, and his mother is "a little bit of fucking everything".[2]
