DC's Legends of Tomorrow will debut Falk Hentschel as its Hawkman in Arrow and The Flash
Former Agents of SHIELD actor Falk Hentschel has officially been cast as DC Comics hero Hawkman in the mid-season series Legends of Tomorrow.
A slightly-tweaked version of Hawkman called Carter Hall will first appear in Arrow and The Flash, before moving into Legends of Tomorrow early next year.
Hentschel is a 30-year-old, Leipzig-born actor who has worked as a back-up dancer for superstars like Mariah Carey and Britney Spears.
He made his screen debut in a 2005 Arrested Development episode, and in more recent years played a terrorist in White House Down and a version of Marvel character Whiplash in Agents of SHIELD.
Hawkman will be a reincarnation of an Egyptian emperor, who has lived on for centuries alongside his ladylove Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée).

Falk Hentschel is a German actor who broke out in the United States in early 2016 when he appeared as Carter Hall on the DC Comic series "Legends of Tomorrow" (The CW, 2016- ). Unlike most young American actors of his generation, Hentschel had a rather trying first few years of his life. Having been born in Soviet occupied East Germany, he fled the communist country with his parents when he was still a very young boy. From there, Hentschel and his family lead a nomadic life, living in various places throughout the world as he learned to speak English, in addition to his native tongue of German.
