Brian Davis Thayer of Bear, DE passed away on Sunday, July, 25 at St Francis Hospital Compassionate Care Hospice in Wilmington, dem. He was 71 years old. Brian was born January 20, to Lewis Thayer and Dorothy (Thomas) Travers and raised on the Thomas family farm in Carver, MA. Although Brian spent the last two decades living in Virginia, Florida and Delaware, he always considered Carver his home. It is especially fitting that he return and be laid to rest on Old Home Day weekend; an event he dearly missed and talked about often with his grandchildren. AUBURN – Brian D. Thayer, 67, of Auburn, died Saturday (December 28, ) at Auburn Memorial Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (Jan. 6) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 7) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Varick, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes, 94 Exchange St., Geneva, NY, Brian was born Aug. 10, , in Lyons, NY, the son of Levi Donnelly and Ella Mae Thayer. He graduated from Clyde-Savannah High School. Brian served 21 years with the Army National Guard, retiring as a staff sergeant. He was employed with Parker – Hannifin in Lyons for several years and then was employed with Emory Machine and Tool Co., Inc. in Rochester, until he retired. He is survived by his s
